Alacati Stone Houses

When you think of Alacati, the first thing that comes to mind is stone houses, many of which have been standing for more than 100 years. There are 1300 well-preserved stone houses in the region. It is made with indigenous stones brought from the quarries on Balanbaka Mountain, where light colored, soft stones reflect the characteristics, and it preserves the coolness of summer and the warmth of winter due to its construction with a special mortar. Alacati Houses consist of two-storey buildings and most of them have gardens.

Alacati Windmills

Ancient windmills, one of the oldest structures in the region and the symbol of our Alacati, date back to the present from the 1850s. Alacati Windmills, which were once used to grind flour, attract a lot of attention by visitors today.

Alacati Marina

Alacati Marina, the face of the Çeşme peninsula opening to the south of the Aegean, is a place where the sailboats and boats it hosts can take great photos at sunset, especially for photographers. Alacati Marina offers a colorful view where you can have a great time with its hotels, restaurants and cafes

Alacati Herb Festival

The Alacati Herb Festival, which has been ongoing since 2010 and held in April, offers a great dining experience for tourists in terms of displaying the diversity of hundreds of herbs grown in the region and recognizing the richness of local dishes. The Alacati Herb Festival, which lasts 3-4 days, is a festival that should not be missed with the exhibition of different activities and workshops.

It is a great opportunity for vegan and vegetarian nutritionists in the festival where natural and organic products are used. You can learn and taste these wonderful flavors by applying the cooking techniques of olive oil dishes, dolmas, salads and desserts made by the locals.
